Drawing # RC320-400 Remove the original sunvisors from your Cessna 320 and taking the stud and angled trim adaptor as shown in Figure #1, screw into the 10/32 hard point from the original sunvisor. Use a 5/16th wrench on the bottom flat of the stud to turn the shaft. Be careful not to burr the edges of the stainless shaft as it will score the inside of the Rosen NSA Sunvisor clamping mechanism.
After the stud has been secured in the 10/32 hard point or nut plate, tighten the 1/4-28 lock nut (NSA 679A4); with a 1 1/2" deep socket, making sure the angled trim adapter fits the contour of the overhead trim. When tight the angled trim adapter locks the stud in place so that it cannot rotate as the visor turns. The correct distance between the bottom of the shaft and the bottom of the angled trim adaptor is .925" and allows for .050" between the clamping mechanism and the angled trim adaptor. If the spacing is incorrect, loosen the 1/4 -28 nut and either screw the stud farther in or out using the flat and the bottom. Repeat until the spacing is correct. Now mount the sunvisor assembly on the stud, making sure that it is well coated with the magnalube provided for that purpose. Tension all movements to pilots preference, using the alien wrenches provided. Repeat this procedure for the opposite side of the aircraft. |
