Drawing #RBB-400 Rev. A There are two part numbers for the Bonanza and Baron sunvisor system: #RBB-300-1 and RBB-300-1A, which adds the third axis feature. The Duke does not have the third axis feature and is part number RBB-300-2. Remove the original automotive type visors from your aircraft with a #2 Philips screwdriver. Using the new machine screws provided, install the new Rosen MSA visor
on the pilot's side first. The new visor will use the same mounting
points as the old unit. In the Bonanza/Baron it should be apparent which
is the pilots side by the angle of the attach fitting. In the Duke the
parts arc tagged "pilot/copilot". Holding the visor so that
it covers the front window in front of the pilot, the thumb tension
knob on the visor slide should be pointing towards the front windshield
(on the side away from the pilot). Bonanza/Baron (note angle of bracket). After installing the pilot's side, note that the top of the visor should be fairly level. If it is not, the screws on the low side can be snugged to help achieve a level condition (This should work in 99% of all cases, but if necessary, washers underneath the attach fitting can be used). With the third axis model; (RBB-300-1A), it does not matter whether it is exactly level as the visor can be moved in the plane.
In all three aircraft, tension in the rotating axis can be adjusted to give the-desired stiffness of movement. An allen wrench of appropriate size is included for adjustments as desired. The tension has been adjusted at our factory, but any drooping can be eliminated by lightening that particular socket head cap screw. Location of cap screws for this purpose are shown in the following:
Visors will stow in different positions, but generally the Bonanza/Baron will stow forward while the Duke will rotate back and up. If the sliding feature is desired with the visors forward, simply pull the end of the lens in the desired direction. The first time you will be able to see your traffic while still cutting the sun's glare, reduce pilot fatigue, and eliminate most harmful ultra violet light... (SAFETY!). Your system has a complete one-year warranty, but you must complete and send the warranty card within 15 days of purchase for to be valid. We welcome your comments and suggestions relating to this product or
other improvements you might wish developed for your aircraft. |
