Drawing No. RMY-100-400-1 Special Considerations: Uses existing mounting point. Does not fit 1968 and earlier model aircraft. Take the 5/64" allen wrench supplied and loosen the socket head set screw in your original visor mounting post.
Remove the original sunvisor. and then remove the 1/4 x 28 mounting screw by turning counter clockwise. Repeat this procedure for both sides of the aircraft. Use the allen wrench in the visor rod hole to help turn the screw. Take the Rosen Skyvisor marked "pilots side" and with a Philips head screw driver, install with the appropriate washer and spacer as shown.
The degree to which you tighten the 1/4 x 28 bolt will determine the tension for travel from the front window to the side window. Repeat the same procedure with the copilots visor.
NOTE: Do not try to turn screw with screwdriver as it will strip the head, turn only the locknut.
To lengthen the visors effective reach, just rotate the visor 180°.
The Skyvisor is machined from 2024 T4 aluminum and anodized black. The lens is a special order acrylic that removes most harmful ultra violet light, approximately 94% of glare, and 70-80% of infra red light. |
