Cleaning and Care: Abrasive cleaners and some window cleaning compounds will scratch the surface of acrylic sheet. Do not use solvents such as, methyl alcohol, toluene, acetone, chlorinated solvents, dry-cleaning solutions, lacquer thinners, gasoline, etc. since they may damage the surface.

Dust and dirt can be removed with a soft, grit-free, nonlinting cloth dampened with clean water.

Grease and oil deposits can be removed with a naphtha, or isopropyl alcohol. (Caution both these substances have a very low flash point and are easily ignited. Use only in well ventilated areas).  Follow manufacturer’s directions for safe handling. Any good plastic cleaner such as: Permates 403D, Clearview, Plexus, LP Acrylic Polish and Sealant, may be used if you follow the manufacturer’s instructions.

Care of visors: As all transparent visors are made of plastic, if you should leave them in the down position for an extended length of time in the enclosed cabin of the aircraft, and the temperature gets excessively hot, the visors could warp or sag. If this problem happens, remove the affected visor from the aircraft and lay the visor on a smooth flat surface. The flat surface should be covered with a nonlinting, soft cloth to prevent marring of the heated visor. Carefully, using a heat gun or (hair dryer) carefully apply the heat, (not over 250 degrees Fahrenheit) until the visor lays flat. Let the material cool before you re-install the visor in the aircraft.

First Check:
Aircraft Model and Serial number

A. - Remove the attaching hardware as per Cessna Service Manual. Place this hardware in a safe place, you will require this hardware to install a new A.R.F.C. Replacement Visors Reverse the removal procedure. With the hardware installed and the visor in position, you can now tighten the three 6/32 screws. Repeat the procedure for the other visor.

B. - Leave the bubble wrap on the A.R.F.C. Visor, (this will save clean up finger prints, etc.) Replace the visor in the reverse sequence that you removed the Cessna Visor. Now tighten the three 6/32 screws. (these three 6/32 screws were left loose for a purpose) Repeat the procedure for the other visor. Now you can remove the bubble wrap.

C. - Now on the self-addressed pre-stamped post card enter the date of installation:

D. - Repeat the information on the label below the post card, peel off sticker and place in the airframe log book. Last but not least, drop the pre-stamped post card in the mail box.
